The Jesus And Mary Chain will be touring North America in May to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their debut album, Psychocandy. The Jesus And Mary Chain were authentic music pioneers, as evidenced by their landmark album, which was released squarely in the middle of the 80s. The band and their sound influenced many that followed and even newer artists today. The Scottish alternative/post-punk band called it quits in 1999 and reformed in 2007. This should definitely be one of the more exciting touring developments of the year.
