This is Part 2 of a two-part series chronicling my visit to the EMP Museum in Seattle. This Part 2 feature will focus on the current Music-related exhibits at the museum, while Part 1 has been published on sister site, Original Prop Blog, and that photo journal will cover the Movie-related exhibits. I met up with some friends of mine who live in Las Vegas, who, like me, collect original artifacts from film, television, and music. I became acquainted with them years ago through my Original Prop Blog, and they have been huge supporters of my efforts. The History Channel series Pawn Stars has been a topic of discussion on the Original Prop Blog for years (see original article), so who could pass up the opportunity to check out the store where it all happens? So we visited Gold and Silver Pawn.
Backstage Auctions has today published their auction catalog qith 1,250 lots for their upcoming “2012 Rock Gods ‘n Metal Monsters Auction’, with bidding running April 21st through April 29th. Included in the sale are items personally owned and used by principals from leading rock acts such as Anthrax, The Cult, KISS, Quiet Riot, Ministry, Dio, Whitesnake, Queensryche, Pearl Jam, Ozzy Osbourne, and others. “Headliners” are also being made available for a special VIP Meet and Greet.
